Welcome! I’m Sian…
And I am so glad you’re here with me.
Genuinely.
Whether you’ve found The Dog Parent Path by accident (I’d like to think of it as ‘it was meant to be’) while scrolling Google for answers, or if you’ve been listening to The Mindful Dog Parent Podcast for a little while, I’d like to welcome you to this new approach to dog parenting.
The Dog Parent Path was born from a place of being the dog mum scrolling Google for answers, feeling not good enough, attaching my worth to my dog’s behaviour, never feeling like I was getting it right, and just not enjoying life with my severely reactive dog, Bonnie.
My journey of personal growth, therapy, nervous system understanding and emotional resilience has been a long one. As of today (May 2026) it’s been 7 years of commitment, resilience, tears (lots of tears!) and dedication, that will continue for many many years to come.
Where I’m at now, as a dog mum to two lovely, rescue lurchers, and an ethical dog trainer, is so vastly different to where it all started. I can regulate (I didn’t even know that was a thing at the start of all this!), I feel the effects of negative stress far less than I used to, I’m no longer the perfectionist striving for impossible goals and definitely no longer attach my self worth as a person, or a dog parent, on my dog’s behaviour. I also am the most confident version of myself so far.
I’m here to support you in your journey to calm, connection, confidence and feeling more centred in your life as a dog parent.
